What an exciting time for the book-writing portion of my life!
A week-and-a-half ago at the annual RWA conference in Orlando, ONE SCREAM AWAY (2009), received the 2010 RITA® award for Best First Book. It was a fabulous conference and having my husband fly to Orlando just to attend the awards ceremony made the win all that much more special. I'm still floating!
And on September 1, my second book, LAST TO DIE, will be released. For a variety of reasons, this one was a long time in coming, and I thank all the readers of Neil's story in ONE SCREAM AWAY who stuck around and waited for his brother Mitch to finally hit the shelves. I hope you'll find it was worth the wait.
To get the ball rolling, I'll host a little give-away during the premiere month. From now until the end of September, all you have to do is blog on and say you want to be entered, and your name will go in the hat. On September 30, I'll draw three separate winners to receive a $25.00 Barnes and Noble book card and a signed copy of either ONE SCREAM AWAY or LAST TO DIE--your choice.
